PORTFOLIO

Montana Nurses Association

This project transformed a former taxidermy shop on a rural site outside of Helena, MT into a headquarters for a professional organization while working with a very limited budget.  The program includes offices, classrooms, a large break/multipurpose room and a small kitchen space.  In addition, the client was interested in incorporating cost-effective sustainability features.  A 1,931 sf south-facing addition (plus basement) created a new public face for the building and takes maximum advantage of its orientation with solar shading devices and cast-concrete trombe walls.  The finished project allows for future expansion to accommodate the needs of a growing organization.
